Rechargeable Batteries Charger

How do you tell if its your 1. Charger 2. Batteries or 3. Camera that’s has gone bad? I had the recent experience of my batteries not charging in spite of charging them the required amount of hours. I bought new rechargeable batteries, charged them and they did not work. My brother gave me the idea to bye regular AA batteries and they worked fine in the camera, so I concluded that it was the charger. I ordered a new charger and will keep you posted on how that works on the old and new batteries. If you have had the same experience give me feed back, I would love to hear from you.
