The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has presented a gift to the nation in the form of an exhibition entitled “The Life And Times of Patrick Augustus Mervyn Manning”, former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and now deceased. Housed at the Trinidad and Tobago National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS), Abercromby Street, Port of Spain Branch, the display consists of a collection of, photographs, newspaper clippings, videos, books and gifts all representative of the entire collection donated to UTT in 2010.
Imagefingerprint visited the exhibition and it was truly moving, as one could not help but reflect on the legacy of The Honourable Mr. Manning’s work. UTT’s brochure given out at the display spoke of Vision 2020 a policy document of the former Government led by Mr. Manning, which sought to develop the Energy and Tertiary Education sectors, as well as the Caribbean territory as a whole. I hope our record through the photographs posted, help you to grasp the magnitude of his accomplishments.
I have also included the link to another post I did previously on Mr. Manning’s funeral. Feel free to revisit the story. http://imagefingerprint.org/2016/07/highlights-funeral-for-an-honourable-former-prime-minister-mr-patrick-manning/.
